Zawiyet Umm el-Rakham I is the first volume of excavation reports from the Liverpool University team which has been working at the site since 1994.

This book, by Steven Snape and Penny Wilson, describes the excavation and recording carried out in the Temple and Chapels area by the Liverpool team, and that of Labib Habachi in the 1950s.

The detailed description of these structures also includes the publication of an important series of Ramesside stelae from the site, and a chapter setting the architecture of the temple in the context of early Ramesside temple-building.
