In 2004/5 the first £1,000 profit from the book Tales from Ancient Egypt was used to support the work of the Liverpool University Mission to Zawiyet Umm el-Rakham.

The money was used to part-fund a major geophysical survey of the site, the results of which can be seen by clicking on the statue of Neb-Re (right), which was found by the Liverpool team in 2000.
